On December 5, the Frank Gehry IAC building in New York hosted a new ceremony of the Best of Year Awards that the prestigious Interior Design Magazine holds year after year. The gala brought together over 900 members of the city´s design and architecture community, who wanted to see the best products and projects carried out during 2013 in the 90 different categories.
One of the winners that evening was Azrama, designed by Clodagh for L’Antic Colonial, which was presented during Porcelanosa´s last International Show. The line, which is made up of a double washbasin, a free-standing washbasin, and a bathtub, as well as of other accessories, won the award in the Bath: Fixtures category. Being made entirely out of wood and natural stone, Clodagh designed Azrama as a tool to “improve life through minimalism”, where robustness and straight lines represent the common link in all the elements.
It should be remembered that the achievement of this award began last October when Azrama was chosen in a first round, among thousands of products from around the world. After one month of “on line” voting, the line was chosen as one of 4 finalists that were competing for the final prize, which was awarded on December 5. The gala was attended by Porcelanosa´s New York stores sales representatives, who picked up the award together with a few designers from the New York firm.
