His ability to balance the classic and the modern has placed Eric Kuster’s name on the global map of interior design for the last two decades. His fabric, furniture, and indoor space lines have crossed beyond the borders of his native Holland, and his ‘metropolitan luxury’ is known around the world for representing glamor, comfort, and sophistication.
Eric Kuster began his professional career as a creative and sales director for the Dutch textile manufacturer Chivasso. His keen eye for colors and his passion for nature’s shades and nuances led him to open his own high-end furniture, lighting, and fabric store, which quickly became a true lifestyle store.
The Eric Kuster brand has evolved to become an interior design firm with its own personal style, capable of giving solutions to private and corporate customers throughout the world. It is a multidisciplinary team that is prepared for creating and designing houses, restaurants, hotels, boats, airplanes… and which has collaborated with firms such as Samsung TV, DNA Homme by Eric Kuster, or Metro Sneakers.
Some of the most luxurious houses in Marbella, Dubai, Moscow, or Bali, as well as major projects such as Amsterdam’s exclusive club Jimmy Woo or some areas of F.C. Barcelona’s Camp Nou, are part of their portfolio.
Among the “celebrities” who have committed to his style we find musicians such as David Guetta or Alicia Keys, and soccer players such as Zinedine Zidane, Samuel Eto’o, or Johan Cruyff.
The Space
The Signature Space proposal that Eric Kuster has designed for L’Antic Colonial‘s is inspired in modern architecture. The area is defined through the play with volumes and textures exposed on the lateral walls of the space as 3-dimensional blocks.
In the center of the space we find a shower tray connected to a small pond, which will transmit a feeling of fullness and positivism to the box.
Eric Kuster’s passion for textile design is reflected in a space where the combination of different materials shows the large variety of possibilities and contrasts of L’Antic Colonial’s products.
It is a space marked by Eric Kuster’s characteristic “metropolitan luxury”, which is present in the exclusivity and luxury of his design.
