JW Marriott Essex House Hotel, one of New York’s most prestigious hotels, has recently remodeled its facilities. The Vision Design firm, with Dan Nelson leading it, has been in charge of refurbishing the building, which originally opened in 1931 and is considered a National Heritage.
With this intervention, Vision Design has tried to give the complex a modern touch, first with the fitness and spa area where a combination of the Beige Sandstone Classico sandstone and the Modern Louvre Siena parquet was used, both from L’Antic Colonial (more info in the “Flagship Projects” section).
The other spaces that have also undergone a comprehensive refurbishment are the hotel suites. These are spaces between 45 and 55 m² that have been adapted to new times, keeping the classical decoration and characteristic “Beaux Arts” style in the hotel. In order to do this, L’ Antic Colonial’s Classic Ebano Luxor parquet has been used for the flooring, as it is one of the most timeless and exclusive materials from the Porcelanosa Group firm.
This is a great job carried out by the Vision Design team, with which this building located just in front of Central Park modernizes its facilities without losing the character it has acquired over the years.
