September 9, 2015 will be a date that will be marked in Porcelanosa’s history. Its new Flagship, the firm’s most emblematic store, will open in the heart of the global capital, right in front of the Flatiron Building, next to New York’s Madison Square Park. This new space, with over 2,000 m2, will be the Group’s best letter of introduction in the U.S., a market in which it has been operating for almost thirty years. The objective of the new Manhattan store will be to offer a different experience to each client that comes in to take a look at Porcelanosa’s, Venis’s, L’Antic Colonial’s, Urbatek’s, Butech’s, Noken’s, Gamadecor’s, and ®’s products.
For that purpose, we have counted with the firm Foster + Partners, which has endowed the space with the firm’s personality and elegance. With the prestigious British architect Norman Foster leading it, this multidisciplinary team has managed the refurbishment of this early 20th century paradigmatic building, included in the buildings protected by the city. There are six floors where we will be able to see the latest flooring and wall covering products, bathroom accessories, natural materials, kitchens, or construction solutions. Additionally, it will occasionally host events, presentations, conferences, or exhibitions in the upper floors.
On such a special day, Porcelanosa Group has wanted to surround itself with all the friends who have accompanied it for more than 40 years. That is why it will hold a gala dinner with over 700 guests from around the world in Madison Square Park, at the foot of its new flagship. Close associates, friends of the firm, representatives of major USA architecture and interior design firms, and numerous guests from throughout the world, in addition to well-known faces from the cultural, movie, and high society scenes, who will enjoy an unforgettable evening at Flatiron District’s natural lung.
