The glamour of mid-20th century New York permeates the Torres jewelry renovation. This project, carried out by Carlos Serra, exalts this emblematic Valencian jewelry’s sophistication.
Avant-garde and warmth merge into a unique space that exudes the special character provided by the passage of time, and that Serra has managed to maintain and enhance to perfection, thanks to the help of natural materials.
These materials (natural stone and wood) revive the noble and majestic look of the period. The stone used belongs to L’Antic Colonial’s Ottawa line, from the limestone range.
It is an exclusive and innovative natural stone of European origin, characterized by its beige/cream color and its slight shade variation. At the Torres jewelry, Serra has opted for using it on floors and columns, although it can be used for indoor flooring and wall coverings. In fact, the natural stones in this line can be used even in wet areas such as shower walls.
The jewelry maintains its distinguishing features thanks to the restoration of the wooden and gold leaf furniture. In addition, a stately wooden staircase and a crafted wood paneling have been recovered, which together with the natural materials used by Carlos Serra, maintain the New York elegance providing additional sophistication.
