The Nordic style has long been in our lives and now is the time to revolutionise our houses and convert them into warm, natural-looking places. Wood, in all its versions is the leading light in interior design and the latest, the most up-to-date, is to use logs to create ingenious interiors.
Unpolished logs looking as if they have been recently cut are used. This gives a very natural and eco-friendly touch to our homes, which is why, in recent months, logs have become the ideal accessory. The most common way is to use logs as side tables, either at your bedside or, if they are a little wider, as a coffee table, which lends a very warm and special atmosphere to your living room.
But there are an endless number of possibilities with logs. Using ropes and a smallish log we can make a very creative swing-like bedside table which gives the bedroom an original and fun touch. Moreover, it saves space and makes it easier to clean.
Another wonderful way to use unpolished wood is as a lamp. There are all kinds, shapes and sizes, but they have one thing in common, the base is always wood. Should you then combine it with little glass lights the result is totally rustic at the same time as being trendy and up to date. If you then incorporate a touch of green, you get a combination which is simply perfect and gives a touch of style to any area or corner of your home.
Another good idea is to use logs as a kitchen accessory, whether it be purely decorative or as a functional utensil, it adds a natural touch to the table.
Branches can also be used in many varied ways: as decorative elements, to separate areas or even as an ingenious hanger ideal for children’s rooms. We love how they look, because they are light, they save room and make it feel spacious.
Wood is yet again the star of interior design in 2018 and logs, in all their shapes and sizes, are fast becoming the perfect accessory and the latest craze wanted by any lover of interior design.
