In order to extend its market and consolidate its brand on an international level, L’Antic Colonial has just participated in Domotex, the most important international floor coverings trade fair on worldwide level. An exhibition that was celebrated from the 11th to the 14th of January in the Messegelände (Trade fair hall) of Hannover and that was attended by 40,000 visitors.
The Porcelanosa Group attended this event by the hand of the designer Oscar Castro who has created for the occasion a space where natural wood, specifically the parquets of the Wood Lovers series, were the authentic attraction.
The L’Antic Colonial stand presented an open space where Wood Lovers Warm Sky Distressed was used as floor covering and Wood Lovers Warm Sky (all the boards with the Old, Artisan and Carpenter finishes) and Wood Lover Grey Night (combination of different boards with Old, Handscraft and Carpenter finishes) as panelling. A lateral panel made form a new finish of the Revival series also stood out, the Silver model that adds to this collection of wood floors. Together with the different models of Wood Lovers, main element of the stand, Linkfloor was used for the external part of the box. The new floor made from floating vinyl with a rigid PVC support simulates the appearance of wood or of carpet type fabrics.
L’Antic Colonial attracted the attention of professionals and companies of the sector (wholesalers and retailers, artisans, architects, interior designers…), as well as of the media that visited the fair thanks to the maximum dimensions of the product (boards of up to 39 x 420 cm). The concept of Wood Lovers with which the client can choose the characteristics he/she wants for the floor (board format, texture, colour, finish…) also stood out.
By the hand of Oscar Castro
Being a first-time exhibition for L’Antic Colonial, the company wanted to be at Hannover with a special proposal. Therefore it counted on Oscar Castro, a young designer from Barcelona with an extensive professional background where he has created elements of fleeting architecture for companies like Olmex Quality, the Barcelona Duty Free Zone Consortium or Grupo ACS and collaborated with Sony, Grupo Planeta or Dragados.
